As the 19th century drew to a close, a need was felt for a church community in the Fife area. Our church was founded in 1895. Land was donated by Walter P. Haden and Laura Haden Ware. The first minister to serve Mizpah was H.D Coffey until 1902. In 1915 the original small frame church was torn down and a new building was erected.
Just as plans were coming to a head for the 50th Anniversary Celebration, lighting struck and destroyed the Church building on June 14, 1945. It took some time and hard work before the present structure was completed and dedicated in 1949. Due to the growth and activity an educational building was added in 1955 and a kitchen was added later in 1967.
Mizpah is currently growing and has an active building fund with plans to add on in the near future. With each challenge we have encountered, we became stronger in our faith. We invite you to become a part of the church today and a piece of its history tomorrow.
